Profile

Mr Dixon has over 35 years' teaching experience and has been Mathematics Subject Leader in three primary schools. He was also an Advanced Skills Teacher and is an Associate of the National Centre for Excellence in the Teaching of Mathematics. Although retired from teaching, he has continued to work in Mathematics at Primary level, writing questions for use in S.A.T.s papers for Pearson UK and N.F.E.R., as well as writing assessment questions and papers, study guides and workbooks for Rising Stars, Harper Collins and Letts. He has also reviewed exam papers and text books for publishers. He also wrote exam papers for Cambridge Progression Mathematics for O.C.R. and acted as a Senior Marker for the exam. Further work for N.F.E.R. and S.Q.A. involved work marking and coding potential S.A.T.s questions in their development process and working as a Test Administrator. Mr Dixon has also marked Mathematics S.A.T.s papers since 1996 and acted as a Team Leader.
