• Q. What is YouTeachMeToo?
• A. YouTeachMeToo is a video-sharing system that can help every family learn. All video content is created by teachers and other education professionals for use in their lessons and by families at home. Parents can create logins for every child in their family, then select and share just the right videos to help each child learn. Parental subscriptions fund teachers to work with UK schools to create more teaching videos sharing what and how they teach.

• Q. Are the videos made by the teacher themselves?
• A. Often, but not always. Every video you see in a teacher's account has been uploaded by that teacher. However, they may have worked with a colleague or friend to create the video before uploading it into their account. Therefore, you will hear female voices in the videos of male teachers and vice versa.

• Q. How do I add videos to my Share page?
• A. Some videos are stand alone resources, whilst others are designed to be watched as a series. To add a single video to your Share page, simply click on the star on the thumbnail or video player. To add a whole series of videos, click on the multiple stars beneath the video player. You can share single videos or whole series with your child by choosing the child, the subject and then clicking on the flashing icons.

• Q. How do I connect with other parents?
• A. It's really helpful to share useful videos you've found with other parents. To do this, go to Manage - My groups. Click the + to create a group, then search for the username of parents that you know and invite them to join your group by clicking on the envelope icon. Group invites are displayed on the Home page. Once accepted, each member of the group can share useful videos with the whole group by clicking on the 'Share with group' button that sites under the video when you are watching it. Videos that your group have recommended will appear on your Home page 'New for us' feed.

• Q. I think the content of a video may be inaccurate. What do I do?
• A. Although this is highly unlikely, mistakes sometimes happen. If you find an error, click on the red flag button underneath the video player and report it to us. We will review the content, check it for accuracy and remove it if necessary. We will contact you to let you know what action we have taken.

• Q. What teaching videos will I be able to watch and use?
• A. A quality education prepares a young person for their future lives. Therefore, we make videos that enable their social development and give them the confidence to become independent. At the same time, we work with schools across the UK to help their staff share their teaching. Teaching videos are created by teachers working in these schools. The videos they create reflect the diversity of the education system.

• Q. How do I remove videos from Share page?
• A. Clicking on the yellow star in any area of YouTeachMeToo removes that video from your Share page*. Once clicked, close the page to save any changes. *If you have shared the video with your child, removing it from your Share page will not automatically remove it from their account.

• Q. What does the Share page do?
• A. The Share page lets you to quickly share videos with your child. If it helps, you can add a quick comment to the video too. Once they have watched the video, you can either remove it from their account or add it to their library so they are able to watch it again and again. Click the ? icon to see a tutorial.

• Q. What is Following?
• A. Following a teacher whose work is a perfect fit for your child ensures that you immediately see every new video they make. Visit the teacher's profile page (by clicking on their name whilst watching one of their videos) and click the Follow button. Every new video they make will then appear on your New for us feed.

• Q. How do I close down my account?
• A. You can close down your account at any time. Click on Manage - My account and follow the instructions there. Once closed down, no further subscription payments will be taken.

• Q. Adding extra subjects
• A. You can add extra subjects to appear on the subject list on the Share page. This means that you can create subjects like 'Stay safe on the bus' and send your child videos that will help them do so! Once created, you will find new subject will at the bottom of the subject list, and they will appear to your child with the subject at the top.

• Q. How many child accounts can I create?
• A. You can create up to 6 child accounts and send each account different videos on the Share page.

• Q. The layout is different on computer and phone. Why?
• A. To give you a great experience when using YouTeachMeToo on your phone, we have reduced the information on some pages. All the important information is the same though - videos you have favourited, sharing videos with your child and so on.

• Q. What do you do with my personal details?
• A. Put simply - we respect and protect them! We store them securely and use them to provide you with the access to the site that you need. We will never sell or misuse your data but please take a moment to read our privacy policy for further information.

• Q. How can I search for content?
• A. When you open the Search page, there are videos shown that are designed to trigger conversations about everyday life. You can clear the keyword search and choose your own search terms too. If you want to watch videos made by staff working in UK school, click the Filter button and start searching.

• Q. What do I do if I can't find the content I need?
• A. At the top of the Search page there is a 'Suggest a video' button. Tell us what you'd find useful and we'll do our best to get it made.

• Q. How can I find other videos made by the same contributor?
• A. Beneath every video on the site is the name of the person or organisation that created it. Click on this name to see all other other videos that they have created. Please note: if you filter your search (eg. for maths), then watch a maths videos and click on the creator's name, their profile page will display their maths videos only. To view the full range of their videos, click on the blue filter button (top left). Click on the Follow button on their profile page and every new video they upload will appear on your Home page 'New for us' feed.

• Q. What does the 'Last Week's Most influential' list show?
• A. When you Search for a subject, on the left you will see a list of 'Last week's most influential' teachers. These are the teachers, in sequential order, who's videos in that subject were viewed the most. Click on their image to visit their profile page and see all their videos for that subject. Click on the magnifying glass to see the full range of subjects that they have created videos for. Clicking on the 'Follow' button will ensure that all new videos from this contributor are displayed in your account on your 'New for us' feed on the Home page.
